Sécurité, rapidité et visibilité sont, si je puis me permettre, ce sont les trois mamelles indispensables de votre site Web. Ou, exprimé différemment, les critères sur lesquels vous ne pouvez pas faire l’impasse.
Hélas !!!
Auscultation de la présence en ligne
En tant qu’entrepreneuse, je suis obligée de faire de la prospection commerciale. Quelle que soit la méthode, approche directe ou réseau relationnel, la première action que j’exécute est de fouiller sur le Web à la recherche des « outils » utilisés par ma cible.
Je visite donc son site Internet et explore sa présence sur les réseaux sociaux, dans l’ordre et dans le désordre, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Google.
Et là, autant vous dire que j’ai régulièrement de (mauvaises) surprises.
Le constat
Concentrons-nous aujourd’hui sur le site Internet que vous avez conçu.
Fréquemment, vous en êtes très fier. Parfois, vous l’avez créé vous-même et je reconnais que ce n’est pas un mince effort.
Certains, avouons-le, ne sont pas très « jolis ». Vous avez peu de moyens financiers et utilisez des plateformes assez restrictives. C’est dommage, car on peut faire de beaux sites sans grever son budget. Les hébergeurs font souvent des offres attractives pour la première année d’existence de votre site.
D’autres, s’ils sont très esthétiques, créés la plupart du temps par des graphistes professionnels, affichent souvent ces failles cruelles qui nuisent aux trois mamelles mentionnées ci-dessus.
La sécurité de votre site Web
Là-dessus, on ne transige pas. Enfin, sur le reste non plus !
Je reconnais ne pas être la spécialiste de ces « petits » détails, je fais confiance à mon hébergeur, c’est peut-être un tort, mais on ne peut pas être experte dans tous les domaines et à ce jour, je n’ai recensé aucun problème.
Donc, les principaux points de sécurité de votre site Internet sont le paramétrage des cookies et le chiffrement SSL, protocole créant un canal sécurisé entre deux machines sur Internet ou via un réseau interne. L’idée est d’empêcher au maximum votre site Web d’être la cible de « pirates ».
D’où l’intérêt de ne pas faire tout soi-même et de faire valider les choses par des spécialistes.
La rapidité de votre site Web
Imaginez un site Internet qui met des heures (j’exagère à peine) à afficher son contenu.
Je me surprends moi-même à être agacée si je ne vois pas instantanément ce que je suis venue chercher.
Et, que fais-je alors ? Je zappe ! Je passe à autre chose ! Dommage, lorsqu’on sait que le taux de rebond est essentiel pour votre visibilité… qui vient ensuite !
Parlez avec votre créateur de site de votre « CDN » (Content Delivery Network) ou RDC in french (Réseau de Diffusion de Contenu), qui optimise la diffusion de votre site Web aux visiteurs. Cet outil est particulièrement utile si, par exemple, vous avez un site marchand et que vous voulez vendre sur une zone géographique élargie.
Pensez aussi à la compression gzip, qui réduit le volume des données. Elles sont, de ce fait, plus rapidement chargeables et transférables.
La visibilité de votre site Web
Là-dessus, je suis beaucoup plus à même de vous aider parce que cela concerne le contenu de votre site.
Et dans votre contenu, tout a une importance. Le nombre de mots, qui est souvent bien trop réduit ; la configuration de vos réseaux sociaux pour créer du lien ; l’intitulé des images en rapport avec votre activité et vos expertises ; la structuration des titres et des paragraphes qui doit être logique, ce qui est rarement le cas ; le référencement naturel avec le choix des mots-clés adéquats ; les liens entrants, les liens sortants, leur ouverture faite de manière adaptée, etc.
